what's fantastic is how little you draw in pencil.i try to ad lib while inking as much as i can,but this is on another level...

I always assumed there to be a lot more photo ref for your pages: that you sketched out the layout, took photos to match and based the inks on those, madding the more imaginitive elements (partly because of your likeness to Mr Constantine and partly because, well, surely it's IMPOSSIBLE to draw that well!). Was that your technique back in the Hellblazer days, though now do manage to achieve the same with hardly any photos?

I still can't understand why your Hellblazer run hasn't been collected when you were clearly the best artist, while Paul Jenkins created some fantastic stories and a great supporting cast.

I still use photo ref for most of the figures, I just draw from the photos freehand. I only occasionally print the background photos on the art.
